Tap Tempo has no accounts and no sign-in. Below is everything the app does with data, in full.
Your tempo, your settings, your chosen click sound, your language and your reminder time are stored on the device and nowhere else. They are not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not readable by us. Deleting the app deletes them.
The app asks for no location, no camera, no contacts and no photos. It does not ask permission to track you across other companies' apps, and it never shows that prompt.
Listen mode estimates the tempo of music playing near you. The app asks for the microphone only when you start Listen mode, never before, and the rest of the app works the same if you say no.
While Listen mode is on, the sound is analysed on the device as it arrives, to find where the beats fall. The audio is never recorded to a file, never stored, and never sent anywhere — not to us, not to Firebase, not to Sentry, not to anyone. Only the last few seconds are held in memory for the analysis, and they are discarded the moment listening stops. Listening stops by itself after at most 20 seconds, when you close the screen, and when the app leaves the screen; it never runs in the background.
The anonymous usage statistics below record that Listen mode was used, how long it listened and how sure the estimate was (low, medium or high). They do not contain any sound or the tempo that was heard.
If you switch on the practice reminder, the app asks iOS for permission to show notifications and schedules a daily one on the device itself. The reminder is never used for advertising or offers. No notification is ever sent from a server, because there is no server that could send one.
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count anonymous usage: which screens are opened, which features are used, and whether a purchase screen led to a purchase. It is how we decide what to build next.
This is not tied to any identity. There is no account to tie it to. Events carry a random identifier that RevenueCat assigns to this installation for purchases, so we can see what happened around a purchase or a refund; it contains no name, email or payment details. No advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected, no advertising SDK is included, and the data is not used to track you across other companies' apps or services. Firebase does receive the IP address of the request, as any internet service does, and derives an approximate region from it.

When something goes wrong — the app crashes, a screen fails to draw, the audio engine refuses to start, or the App Store cannot complete a purchase or restore — the app sends a report to Sentry so the problem can be found and fixed. A small sample of app launches (about one in twenty) also sends timing measurements, such as how long the app took to start.
A report contains the technical details of the error (where in the code it happened), the app version, the iPhone model, the iOS version, the app language, whether Pro is unlocked, and the last few things the app did before the error, such as which screen was open. It contains no name, no email, no account, no device name and nothing you typed. Reports are not linked to you and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Like Firebase, Sentry receives the IP address of the request and derives an approximate region (country and city) from it; the address itself is not stored with the report. Reports are stored by Sentry in the European Union (Germany) and are deleted automatically after Sentry's retention period. See the Sentry privacy policy.
The one-time Pro purchase is processed by Apple. We never see your payment details — Apple does not give them to us. RevenueCat validates the purchase and tells the app whether it is unlocked; see the RevenueCat privacy policy.
No advertising. No selling or sharing of data. No profiles about you. No third-party login. No user-generated content. The core of the app — tapping a tempo, the metronome, the millisecond table — works with no network at all, in airplane mode. So does Listen mode.
The app is not directed at children and collects nothing that could identify anyone, of any age.
Because nothing is stored against an identity, there is no account to export or delete. If you want the anonymous analytics from your device removed, write to shahengrigoryan9894@gmail.com and we will pass the request on; deleting the app stops collection immediately. The same applies to crash reports.
